Phone Calls
Parents are encouraged to call whenever they have questions. In order to serve the community effectively, we appreciate appointments made 24 hours in advance if at all possible. Appointments with administrators need to be made via school secretary. Office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Personal Telephone Messages
If personal messages are necessary, please call 619-605-4700 and dial the teacher's extension directly to leave a voicemail message. There are no monitors available to deliver messages to teachers or students, and office personnel cannot leave to deliver any message other than one of a truly critical nature.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Attend parent-teacher conferences to learn about your child's progress in school. Five modified days will be scheduled this year for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Additional conferences may be scheduled at parents' and teachers' discretion. On conference days, dismissal time for Grades K-5 is 12:05 p.m. Please check the school calendar for specific dates.
Professional Protocol
If a parent/guardian has a concern regarding a teacher's teaching and learning environment then they will be directed to communicate with the teacher directly. If not resolved, then a meeting with the Principal, teacher and parent will be arranged.
Parent/Guardian Contact Information
In case of illness, accident or other emergency, the school will attempt to contact a child's parent or guardian. Please make sure the school has current contact information, including home, work, cell phone and pager numbers. In addition, be sure to keep the office informed of any changes in emergency contacts or child care arrangements.
Backpack Day: School Information & Flyers
Each Wednesday will be backpack day. PTA Newsletters, Principal's Bulletins, etc., are sent home on Wednesdays. This gives parents, teachers, and children a consistent plan for taking home and reviewing materials. Please check for this information every Wednesday.
